Many companies purchase pre-made innersprings and pre-sewn covers from third-party suppliers, then assemble the finished mattress. At My Green Mattress, we take a different approach.
Every My Green Mattress is Made in the USA in our family-owned Illinois factory, where we manufacture our own pocketed coil systems, cut and sew our own covers, and handcraft every mattress from start to finish.
Quality Control Starts Long Before the Mattress Is Finished
Because we control the entire manufacturing process, quality isn’t something we inspect only at the end. It’s built into every step.
Our sewing team works directly with the tape-edge department. The mattress builders communicate with the innerspring team throughout the day. When everyone works under one roof, questions are answered immediately, adjustments happen quickly, and potential issues are caught before they become customer problems.
If a mattress cover doesn’t fit perfectly, it’s corrected before assembly. If an innerspring doesn’t meet our standards, it never becomes part of a finished mattress.
We also perform routine hands-on inspections throughout production. Every 12th innerspring is tested by a team member for dimensional accuracy and spring-back consistency, helping ensure every mattress delivers the support and durability we expect.
Family-Owned Means Better Communication
As a family-owned, Made in the USA mattress manufacturer, communication extends well beyond the factory floor.
Owner Tim Masters doesn’t sit behind a desk all day. You’ll find him walking the factory, working alongside the production team, helping customers in our Illinois showroom, and staying closely connected with our customer service staff.
That direct involvement creates a valuable feedback loop. Customer questions and suggestions are shared quickly with the people building the mattresses, allowing improvements to happen faster and ensuring every department stays focused on the same goal: building the highest-quality mattress possible.
