I am 37 years old, and for most part of my life, I have had extreme lower back issues for many many years which repeated very frequently. A couple of times I had to take off from work for 5 days of bed rest, yes it was that bad.
I switched to the King size Hope Latex Mattress and have been using it for close to 1.5 years now. Its hard to describe how much we love it! The support is perfect, it is super firm, not bouncy, does not heat, no smell (well after a few days). At the beginning it did smell like rubber but organic latex is what it is made of and that is why I bought it, after lot of research. I knew it isn't as harmful as the vapors and smells from processed synthetic materials in other mattresses, and so I didn't mind that. Believe me, organic latex is the next best to organic cotton, which is super expensive and I cannot afford.
But with this mattress, I have been extremely pleased for the past 1.5 years. The height is just right (in a good way). I don't like mattress which are loads of synthetic material sitting on top of bunch of springs. And then people buy mattress toppers on top of that. To me, comfort has nothing to do with number of layers or the height. It has to do with breathability, firmness, less or no heat, no smell, and if I can avoid those springs (they technically act as metal receptors that attract WiFi and mobile radiations, which you don't want close to your body for like 8 hours.
